Efficacy of
Agri-Terra
used on Golf Course
Greens:
Trial conducted at the Belle
Terre Golf Course, St Gabriel, LA, USA in 2006.
GREEN 2 APPLICATION RATES: This green has
three sprinklers @ 55 GPM. Based on the angle of sprinkler heads, it was
calculated that approximately 40% of the water covered the green during one
complete three minute cycle. Per section, 70 oz of Agri-Terra were sprayed. An
estimated 200 gallons of water was applied to the green.
Area of Golf Course Green 2
= 3000 square feet. Four sampled areas were counted for each green 2, 4 and
10.
GREEN 2 RESULTS:
- Overall Average Nematode
Reduction on Green Two: 97.8%
- Green Two Maintained A
92% Nematode Reduction after 138 days
GREEN 4 APPLICATION RATES: This green has
four sprinklers @ 55 gallons per minute, @ 70% volume = 154 gallons water per
minute on the green. Per section, this equaled 38.5 gallons per minute. A
backpack CO2 sprayer was used calibrated at 1 gallons of water per 1000 square
feet. To apply a 1% by volume, 78 oz of water and 50 oz of Agri-Terra was
applied on each 1000 square foot section. This green was non-aerated.
Area of Golf Course Green 4
= 4200 square feet.
GREEN 4 RESULTS:
- Overall Average Nematode
Reduction on Green Four: 95.7%
- Green Four Maintained A
91% Nematode Reduction after 138 days
GREEN 10 APPLICATION RATES: The green was
aerated using a solid tine aerator. A boom sprayer applying 55 GPA, with 8005
spray tips applied 2 quarts of Agri-Terra in 55 gallons of water. Two passes
were made in order to apply a rate of 1 gallon in 110 gallons of water. The
green was hose-watered for 8 minutes, 240 gallons. The green was mowed
immediately after watering to remove aeration debris.
 Area of Golf Course Green
10 = 4300 square feet.
GREEN 10 RESULTS:
- Overall Average Nematode
Reduction on Green Ten: 94%
- Green Ten Maintained A
78% Nematode Reduction after 136 days
