WHITEFLIES: Efficacy trials conducted by CAL AGRI PRODUCTS have demonstrated Agri-50E is effective against the nymphs and adults of many species of whiteflies. Evaluations have shown Agri-50E can provide cost effective control against three important whitefly pests, the Tobacco whitefly, Bemisia tabaci, the Greenhouse whitefly, Trialeurodes vaporariorum, and the Iris whitefly, Aleyrodes spiraeoides.

Independent laboratory and greenhouse tests have compared the relative performance of Agri-50E to standard commercial pesticides. Laboratory tests revealed Agri-50E kills Trialeurodes vaporariorum adults approaching 100 percent that is comparable to more toxic pesticides such as Bifenthrin.

Performance tests against Trialeurodes vaporariorum nymphs have also shown Agri-50E to be effective against all immature stages, except the egg and pupal stage, equal to or greater than pyriproxifen (Esteem) a popular standard commercial pesticide.

Independent commercial field tests have shown Agri-50E can achieve control of whitefly populations equal to or greater than the leading commercial pesticides. Greenhouse tests has shown excellent control of whitefly adults that often achieve significantly greater reductions in adult numbers than standard pesticides such as imidacloprid (Confidor).

Large-scale greenhouse field trials conducted by independent researchers have also demonstrated that at the recommended rates, AGRI-50E provided rapid control of whitefly nymph populations under commercial conditions relative to standard insecticides such as buprofezin (Applaud) and thiomethoxan (Actara). Results also demonstrated that long-term and economical control of whiteflies could be achieved with a single application, even under severe pest pressures (see Agri-50E Guide [pdf] below).

Results of independent commercial field trials and commercial grower experience has already established Agri-50E as a leading pest control product for whitefly management programs. Experience has also shown Agri-50E to be easy to use, safe for most major edible and non-edible crops, can be used up to and including the day of harvest and is effective against insecticide resistant whitefly populations.
